Bohol-Cebu Trip

Super late post!!!!

We booked this trip for Bohol but opted to go to Cebu instead as the damage of the earthquake last year was still fresh. There were no Churches to visit and moreover we don't want to be saddened with the things that we will see.

Here's the Detailed Itinerary for our Bohol-Cebu Trip

1st day: Cebu City Tour
Manila to Tagbilaran
Wed 05 Feb 2014, 0825H
Wed 05 Feb 2014, 0940H

Feb 5 -  from tagbilaran airport to tagbilaran ferry port -(trike 100pesos)

target etd from the port: 1120 || 1135 am, eta 1:35pm

Checked in at 2:00PM
Robe’s Pension House
41R Landon St., Cebu City Philippines (Corner Don Pedro Cui Street)

Left Pension House @230pm and headed to our first stop- Taoist Temple.

Taoist Temple

This is already my 3rd time in Cebu City but it was my first time in Taoist Temple. We enjoyed taking pictures and lost track of the time. We head back downtown at around 4pm. Since we did not ask the taxi driver to wait for us, it took us awhile to get another cab. Luckily, the guard at the temple has a cellphone number of a Taxi operator so we were able to get one. If you like it hassle free, better ask the Taxi driver to wait for you though you might need to take pictures really fast.

From Taoist Temple we headed to sto Nino Church. Taxi Fare is around 120pesos from the Taoist temple. Due to the earthquake last year, the church was closed for renovation and restoration though we we were able to line up and get a glimpse of the infamous Sto. Nino.

Supposedly it was a walking tour after. But we skipped all the other spots and just went to the Magellan's cross which is just near the church. We could not take a good picture of it as it was also damaged by the earthquake.

Magellan's cross

But if you have the time and want to try, here's the walking Tour in the area.

Things to See (in order):
1. Casa Gorordo Museum
2. Yap/Sandiego Ancestral House
3. Heritage of Cebu Monument
4. Colon Obelisk
5. Plaza Humabon
6. Cebu Cathedral Museum
7. Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral
8. Sto. Nino Church
9. Magellan's Cross
10. Plaza Sugbu / Cebu City Hall
11. Plaza Independencia
12. Fort San Pedro

We took this picture in the Islands Souvenir Shop just near the Magellan's Cross and the Church.

It was already 5pm when we decided to head to Mactan to try the Sutukil. Taxi fare was around 250 pesos and the traffic was super heavy. This was one failed destination as we were not satisfied with the service and the food at the Manna Sutukil. It was dampa style but the food did not live up to its price. I would not recommend this at all in your Cebu itinerary.
